About Management of JP Domain Name
For management of JP domain names, ICANN (The Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers) and Japan Registry Services (JPRS) entered into a ".jp ccTLD Sponsorship Agreement", and JPRS was formally entrusted with JP domain name registration and management by ICANN. JPNIC and the Japanese Government check JPRS for the public interest of the JP domain name, thereby realizing a system that secures the public interest.
